CO10 7BY – 29th July update

Summary

Very warm and hot at times with increasing humidity midweek onwards. From Wednesday night and into the early hours of Thursday morning there is a risk of some severe thunderstorms developing as a trough engages across the south-east and eastern parts of England.

Thursday day-time sees another very warm day with further thunderstorms breaking out, especially during the afternoon period. Whilst thunderstorms can be hit and miss, locally, 30-mm of rainfall in just an hour may fall. Some severe storms perhaps bringing 50-60mm in a short space of time.
