The unsettled theme will continue for at least the next 7 days or so and we can thank the Jetstream for that!
At the moment we’re seeing a strong southerly tracking jet which is bringing in areas of low pressure, either close by or across the United Kingdom. So further wet and at times blustery weather can be expected. Particularly in the north and north-west.
Pressure at times will be higher across the southern and southeastern quarter of the United Kingdom, with some drier interludes, particularly during any ridges of high pressure.
However, for northern and northwestern areas, pressure will be lower and we’ll see Atlantic lows and associated fronts plaguing these areas frequently.
In terms of temperatures, we’ll be around average for the time of year, with some cooler conditions at times.
Some of the models suggest parts of the south and south-east may see some warmer temperatures of 16-18c at times (within the next 7-10 days) however changeable is the key word with nothing sustained.
